On August 11th to 18th, Dr. Ananda Sarkar from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and Lee Brooks from Cornell University visited the Center for Plant Genomics facilites to perform microarray experiements.

From July 10-14, 2006, Dr. Gohkan Hacisalihoglu (Assist. Prof, Biology Department, Florida A&M University) attended a week-long Leadership Workshop at the Dolan DNA Learning Center at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. During July 17 - July 21 Dr. Hacisalihoglu visited the Scanlon lab in Ithaca, NY, where he worked with Rob Elshire and Lee Brooks performing real time RT-PCR and laser-microdissection of maize shoot apical meristem samples.

In early June, 2006, several Truman State University undergraduate participants in the SAM Project visited the Schnable Lab and field sites. This visit, on June 9th, included Dr. Diane Janick-Buckner, Co-Pi, and students Kate Browning , Ashleigh F ritz, Dane Guempel, Eneda Hoxha, and Zhian Kamvar.
